These API Terms of Use ("API Terms") govern access to and use of the application programming interfaces ("APIs") provided by Enqode QR ("Enqode QR", "we", "us", or "our"). These API Terms form part of and are incorporated by reference into our Terms & Conditions.

By accessing or using the Enqode QR APIs, you agree to comply with these API Terms.

1. Overview

The Enqode QR APIs enable eligible users to programmatically access certain features of the Enqode QR platform, including QR code creation, management, and related functionality.

API access is optional and subject to plan-specific limits, technical constraints, and these API Terms.

2. API Eligibility & Access

  • API access is available only on specific subscription plans.
  • The availability of API features may vary by plan and region.
  • Enqode QR reserves the right to approve, restrict, or revoke API access at its discretion.

3. API Keys & Security

  • API access requires the use of a unique API key issued to your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential and secure.
  • API keys must not be shared, sold, or exposed in client-side code or public repositories.
  • You must promptly notify Enqode QR if you suspect unauthorized use of your API keys.

4. API Usage Limits

4.1 Monthly Request Limits by Plan

API usage is subject to monthly request limits based on your active subscription plan:

  • Professional Plan: up to 3,000 API requests per month
  • Business Plan: up to 10,000 API requests per month
  • Enterprise Plan: up to 50,000 API requests per month

Unused API requests do not roll over to subsequent billing periods.

4.2 Rate Limiting & Abuse Prevention

  • API requests may be subject to additional rate limiting to protect platform stability.
  • Excessive, abnormal, or abusive API usage may be throttled or blocked.
  • Attempts to bypass API limits, security controls, or usage restrictions are prohibited.

5. Acceptable API Use

You agree to use the APIs:

  • In compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • In accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy and Fair Usage Policy
  • Without interfering with the performance or security of the Service
  • Without reverse engineering, scraping, or exploiting the APIs

6. Monitoring, Suspension & Termination

Enqode QR reserves the right to:

  • Monitor API usage for compliance and abuse
  • Temporarily or permanently suspend API access
  • Disable API keys
  • Terminate API access without prior notice in cases of misuse, security risk, or policy violations

7. API Availability & Changes

  • APIs are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
  • Enqode QR does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free API availability.
  • We may modify, update, deprecate, or discontinue APIs at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All APIs, documentation, and related materials are the intellectual property of Enqode QR.
  • These API Terms do not grant ownership rights in the APIs or underlying technology.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Enqode QR shall not be liable for any damages arising from API usage, including service interruptions, data loss, or business impact.

10. Changes to These API Terms

We may update these API Terms from time to time. Continued API usage after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
