You set these on a code's own page. Open My QR Codes, click Analytics on the code, and look under Configuration, in the Behavior group.
These settings only apply to dynamic codes, because every scan of a dynamic code passes through Enqode QR. A static code opens its content straight from the pattern, so nothing can stop it.
Add a password
- Click Password.
- Type the password. Click the eye icon to check what you typed.
- Click Save.
Scanners now have to enter the password before they reach your destination. To remove it, open Password again, tick Disable password for this QR, and save.
Set an expiry date
- Click Expiry.
- Choose Expire on a date and pick the date.
- Click Save.
The code stops working at the end of that day. After that, scanners see a page saying "This QR code has expired". To remove the expiry, choose No expiry and save.
Set a scan limit
- Click Scan limit.
- Enter the Maximum scans. 0 means unlimited.
- Click Save.
The window shows the code's current count. Once the limit is reached, scanners see a "Scan limit reached" page. If you set a limit lower than the current count, the code stops working straight away.
