Pausing is a quick way to switch a dynamic code off without deleting it. Your settings and scan history stay as they are.
Pause a code
- From My QR Codes: click the Pause button on the code.
- From a code's page: click the status pill next to the code's name. It shows Active or Paused.
While a code is paused, anyone who scans it sees a page saying "This QR code is paused".
Resume a code
Click Resume on the code in My QR Codes, or click the status pill again on the code's page. The next scan opens your destination as normal.
Good to know
- Pausing only works on dynamic codes. A static code opens its content straight from the pattern, so it cannot be switched off.
- If you want to stop a code for good, delete it. See "Duplicating, deleting and restoring QR codes".
