You changed where your QR code points, but scanning it still opens the old page. Work through these checks in order.
1. Check whether the code is static or dynamic
Only dynamic codes can be redirected after printing.
- Open My QR Codes and click Analytics on the code.
- Look at QR Code Type near the top. It says Dynamic or Static.
If it says Static, the old destination is written into the printed pattern itself. Editing the code in your dashboard updates the record and the image you download next, but every copy already printed keeps opening the old link. To change a printed static code you need to make a new dynamic code and replace the printed one.
2. Check that the change was saved
- On the code's page, look at Destination URL.
- If it still shows the old link, click Edit Details, change it again and click Save changes. Wait for the "Saved" message.
If you see "Update failed" or "Not saved", the change did not go through. Fix the field it points to and save again.
3. Check that you printed the right code
If you have several codes with similar names, you may have edited a different one from the one you printed. Compare the printed code with the Tracking link on the code's page: scan the printed code and check that it is the code whose page you are looking at.
4. If you made the code in the generator, press Generate again
If you change details in the generator after making a code, the preview says "This code still points at your previous destination". Press Generate QR Code to update it before you download.
5. Rule out your phone
Your phone may be showing a page it opened before. Close the browser tab, then scan again. You can also copy the Tracking link from the code's page and open it in a private browser window.
